Recombinant adenovirus vectors are viral vector systems engineered from helper-dependent viruses. They offer high transgene efficiency and can transduce even difficult-to-infect cells. Compared to lentiviruses, exogenous genes delivered by adenoviruses do not integrate into the host cell genome, which contributes to their high safety profile.
